Senator Tarr’s Statement on Tomorrow's 'Keep Fishermen Fishing' Rally in Washington, D.C.

Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) released the following statement today concerning the 'Keep Fishermen Fishing' Rally scheduled for tomorrow in front of the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. Senator Tarr is scheduled to address the crowd at the fishing rally between 12:00-3:00pm.

"The commercial fishing industry is one of the most consistent and iconic means of economic opportunity our nation has ever known, and it continues to be a viable source of good protein and good jobs for our nation. That's why it's important that we speak loudly, clearly and cohesively in its defense, and seek to reverse a progressively worsening trend of mismanagement that is leaving large amounts of fish in the ocean, causing unnecessary hardship for harvesters and consumers alike."
